The Puri Rath Yatra is a significant Hindu festival celebrated for nine days in honour of Lord Jagannath. The yatra takes place every year on the second day of the bright fortnight in the month of Ashadha.On this occasion, the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are pulled through the streets of Puri.
