Rajinikanth has praised Karthik Subbaraj to the moons for his latest release Jigarthanda DoubleX, which is doing well at the box office.
Superstar Rajinikanth, amidst his busy schedule, has shared a detailed review of Karthik Subbaraj’s latest release Jigarthanda DoubleX, which has received positive feedback from the audience and critics as well. The Tamil star took to Instagram to share a detailed statement about the film which has huge praise for the director, actors SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence. Rajinikanth has also praised Santhosh Narayanan and cinematographer Tirru for their contributions.
Rajinikanth wrote, “Jigarthanda DoubleX is a Kurunji flower (which blooms once in 12 years in Kodaikanal). It is a wonderful creation of Karthik Subbaraj. It has scenes that Tamil fans have never seen before. I was surprised by Raghava Lawrence’s acting. Made me wonder if he can actor this well. SJ Suryah is today’s best performer. He has been a villain, comedian, and a supporting star in this film.”
About Santhosh Narayanan, he wrote, “Known for composing unique music for unique films, Santhosh Narayanan has proven himself as the best music composer with his work in this movie.”
Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj have worked together in Petta, which turned out to be a hit film for the actor. Karthik, a self-proclaimed Rajinikanth fan, has also paid tribute to the star in Jigarthanda DoubleX, which is about a hero who wants to become the first dark-skinned superstar in Tamil cinema in the 70s. The film is set before the debut of Rajinikanth in Tamil cinema.
Earlier, Dhanush took to Twitter to heap praise on Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda DoubleX. He wrote, “Watched jigarthandaxx. Fantastic craft from @karthiksubbaraj, being amazing has become an usual deal for @iam_SJSuryah. As a performer @offl_Lawrence is a revelation. @Music_Santhosh u r a beauty. The last 40 mins of d film steals your heart. All the best to the crew and cast (sic).”
Jigarthanda DoubleX, a sequel to Karthik Subbaraj’s second film Jigarthanda, is a part meta film that ends with a question to people in power, who exploit natural resources and innocent lives. It also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Tom Chacko, Naveen Chandra, and Ilavarasu in important roles.
